Wagner Girls’ Hoops Routs Kennedy Catholic, 80-46, at Rose Classic; Pick Up 6th Win in a Row

Susan Wagner girls’ basketball defeated Somers, New York’s Kennedy Catholic, 80-46, in a non-league game Sunday at the Rose Classic Super Jam at The Post in Brooklyn.

It was the Lady Falcons’ six straight victory, improving their record to 14-3 overall on the season.

5-foot-8 Wagner junior juggernaut Niccole Melious was at it again, dropping a double-double of 51 points and 15 rebounds. She added six assists.

Nicole Melious sports her MVP award.

It was Melious’ fifth 50-plus points tilt of the 2021-22 campaign.

For her spectacular efforts, Rose Classic Tournament organizers named Melious as the game’s MVP.

The Lady Falcons travel to McKee/Staten Island Tech Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. PSAL Staten Island league tilt.
