Susan Wagner girls’ basketball used 34 points from junior Nicole Melious to run roughshod over Port Richmond (0-7), 80-14, Thursday night on the road, helping it to remain unbeaten in PSAL Staten Island Class “A” action.
Melious, considered one of the top players in New York State by several high school girls hoops insiders, added six rebounds and four assists in just two quarters of play. The 5-foot-8 guard now has 516 points for the 2021-22 campaign.
The Lady Falcons (11-3, 7-0) jumped out to a 55-8 lead in the first half, putting the rest of the game out of reach from there.
