Wagner Girls’ basketball (5-0, 2-1) used five players in double figures to knock off Staten Island rival Tottenville (3-3, 2-1), 79-58, Wednesday night at home in a PSAL Class A tilt, keeping the team’s undefeated league record intact.
Junior juggernaut guard Nicole Melious, a Georgia Tech commit, posted a triple-double, draining a game-high 25 points with 11 assists and 10 rebounds, proving she can do it all on the hardwood.
However, Melious had a solid supporting cast.
Senior Audrey Bonoan followed with 18 points and seven helpers, sophomore Samantha Harrell dropped in 14, freshman Jaylene Hubbard had 11, and sophomore Saniyah Wilkerson added 10 and eight boards in the Falcons’ victory.
Pirate senior Alexa Zambino scored a team-best 24 points.
