Tuesday evening’s PSAL girls’ Class basketball game between Wagner and McKee/Staten Island Tech (0-4) featured Nicole Melious going off for 43 points, as the Falcons rolled to an 80-25 victory at home.
The 5-foot-9 guard also added five assists and six rebounds in only three quarters of action. It was Wagner’s fifth straight victory to start the 2020-21 campaign and Melious’ fifth contest in which she scored 38 or more points.
Melious now owns 1193 career high school hoops points. With the way she is playing, the Georgia commit has a shot of reaching 2000 points with 19 games remaining on the regular schedule this season.
Senior Audrey Bonoan and sophomore Samantha Harrell contributed 12 points each.
