UMass Lowell guard and Staten Island, N.Y., native Richie Greaves has entered the college basketball transfer portal, per a VerbalCommits.com’s Tweet.
Before committing to UMass, the former Roselle Catholic High School (NJ) player had offers from Wagner, Charlotte, Central Connecticut State, St. Peter’s (NJ), Hofstra, Bryant, Iona, and Binghamton.
Greaves is an ex-three-time All-Conference Team selection, and a McDonald’s All-America nominee as a senior. He helped his team to a 28-4 record as a junior with an appearance in the NJSIAA Basketball State Championship, averaging 7.2 points and 1.9 rebounds with 21 three-pointers.
UMass is off to a 6-3 start in the 2021-22 season.
