Susan Wagner (1-0, 3-0) was actually down by five points going into the third quarter of Wednesday’s night’s PSAL non-league A game against South Bronx Preparatory.
But junior Nicole Melious exploded for 32 second-half points en route to a Falcons’ 84-47 victory over South Bronx Prep at home.
Melious finished with 53 points, bringing her season total to 157 points in the first three games of the season. That’s a remarkable average of 52.3 points per contest.
Also, the guard grabbed seven rebounds and made four assists. Sophomore Samantha Harrrell followed with 10 points while senior Audrey Bonoan dropped in nine and dished out eight assists in the win.
Wagner travels to Petrides tomorrow for a 6:00 p.m. league tilt.
