Metuchen HS, NJ Intensity’s Abby Kozo Commits to Georgetown Softball


2023 Metuchen High School and NJ Intensity softball standout Abby Kozo yesterday had verbally committed to Division I Georgetown University softball, she Tweeted.

NJ’s Abby Kozo has verbally committed to Georgetown to play softball and earn degree.

Kozo, a left-handed pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder, led the Lady Bulldogs in hits with 52, runs with 35, and strikeouts with 130, and slugged tow home runs and 26 RBI in 83 at-bats as a sophomore.

As a result, the Home News Tribune and NJ.com named Kozo to the New Jersey high school All-County First Team and the All-Group 2 Second Team, respectively, last season.

Metuchen posted a 17-7 overall record and went 10-0 in GMC – Blue.

The Hoyas put up an 8-15 overall mark in the 2020 campaign.
