Atlantic Cape Community College Head Basketball Coach Allen Ragland said that the Buccaneers were going to make some noise this season. And if the first two games of the 2021-20 campaign are any indications of things to come, they will be a force in the the NJCAA Region XIX — Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).
Atlantic Cape routed host Passaic County Community College, 97-69, on Saturday, and upended Rowan College-Gloucester County, 89-77, on Tuesday at Stockton University.
Point guard David Coit’s spectacular performance led the Buccaneers past PCCC with 30 points, seven threes, six assists, and four steals. Justin Baxter, a 6-foot-8 stretch-four, dropped in 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Richard Jones, a D I transfer, dropped in 21 points.
Atlantic Cape will face Rowan College-Cumberland County in its home opener on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
