Brooklyn native and Hillcrest Prep’s (Ariz.) Jaqai Murray has received an offer from Long Beach State (Cali.), per a Tweet from his school yesterday.
Murray is a 6-foot-7 forward who also holds an offer from Hofstra, but this could be the season he garners more attention as well as offers.
Murray’s size permits him to bust inside and score some low-post points, while his solid ball-handling skills give him options to dribble himself free and go to the basketball, or dish it to an open teammate.
Murray previously played for Nazareth High School (Brooklyn) of the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA).
Long Beach also offered Hillcrest teammate Ziare Wells yesterday.
