After verbally committing to St. John’s Men’s Basketball last month, Our Saviour Lutheran (N.Y.) senior guard Jaquan Sanders has decided to reopen his recruitment, today Sanders Tweeted.
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Sanders previously had offers from UMass, Hofstra, Creighton, Bryant, Illinois, Xavier, and Manhattan. Providence, Auburn, Pittsburgh, and Kansas State was also recruiting him, per the New York Post.
Sanders, a Far Rockaway, Queens, N,Y., native, had played with current Red Storm members Posh Alexander and Dylan Addae-Wusu at Our Saviour Lutheran (OSL) in the Bronx.
Sanders possesses a solid jumper, as he averaged 19 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals while shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc and 44 percent from the floor last season for OSL.
