IMG Academy (Fl.) center Rocco Muratori has committed to Stony Brook Men’s Basketball program, today he Tweeted.
The listed 7-foot-3, 270-pound class of 2022 center holds a ton of upside due to the fact of his height. Plus, he is nimble, sports solid footwork underneath the basket, and owns an impressive work ethic to improve his hardwood skillset.
The former West Lafayette high school (Ind.) product had interest from Central Michigan, Miami (Ohio), and Purdue as well as a D2 and D3 school early on in high school, per a report.
Muratori is of Italian and Lithuanian descent, with the latter most likely responsible for his height and will be a welcome to addition to Sea Wolves once he arrives on campus in the fall of 2022.
Stony Brook posted a 9-14 overall record and went 7-9 in American East Conference (AEC) action last season.
