Rosie Scognamiglio of St. Rose High School has verbally committed to Division I Bucknell Women’s Basketball program, today she Tweeted.
Scognamiglio, a 5-foot-10 junior shooting guard, scored 166 points, grabbed 62 rebounds, and made 35 steals in 15 games in her sophomore season as a Purple Rose. Scognamiglio spent her freshman year at Pearl River High School, in Pearl River, N.Y., where she earned All-Division honors.
Scognamiglio, who has room for growth due to her young age, is on the rise, and possesses one of the most lethal shots in the Garden State. Additionally, she gets to the basketball with the use of her cunningness and toughness.
Moreover, the NJ Shoreshots dynamic hoopster is a gritty, physical defender, with a determined spirit that has her playing above girls bigger than herself.
The Bisons posted an overall 9-1 record and went 8-0 in Patriot League Conference action this past season.
