St. Francis Brooklyn guard Chauncey Hawkins, a grad transfer, yesterday has entered the transfer portal, per a Verbal Commits’ Tweet.
Hawkins, a 5-foot-8 guard, averaged 16 points, 4.4 assists per game, with a total of 25 steals in 16 contests this past season. He also earned All-NEC (Northeast Conference) Third Team honor.
The Terries posted a 9-10 record and went 9-9 in NEC action in the 2020-21 campaign.
Hawkins attended St. Joseph Regional High School (NJ), where earned first-team All-North Jersey honors during his senior year after averaging 19.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3.4 steals in the 2016-17 season.
Additionally, he posted 1,198 career high school points and led St. Joseph to a No. 11 ranking in the NJ.com Top 50 Poll. The Green Knights reached the North Jersey, Non-Public A semifinals after upending Delbarton, 66-51, in the quarterfinals in the 2016-17 campaign.
