Glenelg Country School (Md.) forward Drew McKenna has received an offer from NJIT Men’s Basketball program, today VerbalCommits.com tweeted.
The Highlanders’ offer was the first for the 6-foot-7, 190-pound sophomore.
McKenna, a Baltimore, Md., native, is a talented player who is long and athletic. Plus, he is well-coordinated for a big guy and bangs the boards with determination. McKenna also owns the ability to finish strong around the basket.
Additionally, McKenna plays AAU hoops for Team Melo, and has interest from George Mason, per CityofBasketballLove.com. McKenna’s youth and solid work ethic should garner him more offers in due course.
NJIT posted a 7-12 overall record and went 6-10 in American East Conference (ACE) action this past season.
