Rising senior Daniela Peralta of Union Catholic High School (NJ) has committed to the University of Dayton for Track & Field, yesterday she announced on Twitter.
Peralta shattered her own school and personal record in the girls’ javelin with an impressive throw of 126-1 to place seventh at the 2021 New Jersey Meet of Champions in late June. She previous set the school record with a throw of 108-8 at the Blue Devil Classic in Westfield earlier this season.
Peralta was integral part of the 2019 and 2021 Non-Public State Champions in New Jersey.
A fantastic overall athlete, the 5-foot-7 Peralta plays point guard and shooting guard positions for the Lady Vikings. She poured in 68 points and made 14 steals in 12 games this past season.
Peralta also suited up for United AAU 17u squad, and sports a 3.7 GPA.
