Christ Presbyterian Academy (Tenn.) Braeden Moore today has committed to Rutgers Men’s Basketball program, according to sources. It is the Scarlet Knights’ first 2022 commit.
Moore’s recruitment list read like a who’s who in Division I college basketball. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound small forward had offers from UC Davis, Rice, Oral Roberts, James Madison, Western Illinois, Liberty, Ohio, Old Dominion, San Diego State, TCU, Boston College, Arizona State, SMU, Tulsa, Pepperdine, Memphis, St. John’s, Nebraska, Arkansan, Kansas, Missouri, Houston, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Georgetown, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati–32 in all.
In 32 games, Moore averaged 18.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc in his junior season at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville. He also shot 45 percent from the field overall and 72 percent from the foul line.
The Scarlet Knights posted a 16-12 record and went 10-10 in Big 10 Conference action this past season.
