Sioux Falls Canaries outfielder Mike Hart is know for his defensive ability. Canaries manager Mike Meyer said before the season in January that he is the most thrilling player to watch in the independent American Association.
Last night, in a 2-1 victory versus the Sioux City Explores, Hart proved it, as he made a great catch up against leftfield, which made ESPN SportsCenter’s number four play in its Top Ten. Watch the play at the video below.
“Mike Hart is the most exciting player in the American Association,” Meyer said in a press release. “If you watch him play long enough, you will get to see him smash into a wall or dive onto the bullpen mound making an unbelievable play.”
The former University of Massachusetts alum is currently batting .265 with six homer runs and 26 RBI in 151 at-bats through 43 contests thus far this season.
