The Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) boy’s Spring Tournament was back in action tonight, as Xaverian (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn) routed Christ the King, 72-58, at Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY.
The first quarter was close, as the Clippers led, 18-16, over the Royals. Xaverian increased its advantage to 37-32 by the half’s end.
But the Clippers opened up a 11-point lead on Christ the King in the third period. Xaverian poured it on in the final quarter, leading by 20 points with approximately two minutes to play.
The Royals chipped away at the advantage, narrowing the score to 14 points late in the contest. But it was a little too late as the Brooklyn team dribbled away with the win in the end.
Teams, spilt up into four divisions, will play at least four tilts in within four pools, according to bluestarmedia.org. The game was streamed live on @locallivenet.
