St. Francis Brooklyn Men’s Basketball has offered Virginia Episcopal (Va) sophomore guard Robby Matos, yesterday he Tweeted.
It is the 5-foot-9, 160-pound Lynchburg, VA, native’s first Division I offer.
Good athletic genes run in the Matos family. His older brother, Yetur Gross–Matos, starred in football at Chancellor High School (Va) and Penn State and just completed his rookie season with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers as a defensive end.
While Matos’ present size may be a factor on which level of college hoops he plays at, the 23-year-old Yetur is 6-foot-5 and 266 pounds. So there is still room for him to sprout and pack on a few more pounds over the next two years.
The Terries posted a 9-10 overall record and went 9-9 in Northeast Conference (NEC) action this past season.
