Former Penn State forward Patrick Kelly is transferring to Fordham Men’s Basketball program, yesterday he Tweeted.
After utilizing his freshman season as a Redshirt year, Kelly hit the hardwood in five games during this past campaign.
Before the Nittany Lions, Kelly played his final year of prep basketball at IMG Academy (FL) and served as team captain. He finished his career at IMG with 223 points for more than a total of 1,000 high school points.
Kelly put up 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and one block per game at Virginia Episcopal School (VES) as a junior, as his team advanced to the state championship semifinals.
Kelly Started high school career at Pinnacle High School in Arizona with 295 points (11.3 ppg), and averaged six rebounds per contest with a 0.8 per game blocked shot average as a sophomore. He helped the Pioneers to the state championship semifinals that year.
His father, the late Patrick Kelly II, played football at Syracuse and was a member of the Orange’s 1987 undefeated squad before playing in the NFL (1988-1993) for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets.
The Fordham Rams posted a 2-12 record and went 2-11 in Atlantic 10 Conference action.
