Rutgers senior Jacob Young on Friday had entered the transfer portal, and will try his luck in the NBA Draft, according to sources.
Young, a grad transfer, averaged 14.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists this season for the Scarlet Knights. But has one year of eligibility left, and as a grad transfer, he will be eligible wherever he goes if he decides to stay in colligate hoops.
A 6-foot-2, 185-pound guard, Young played two seasons in the Big 12 Conference at the University of Texas from 2016-18 before transferring to Rutgers. Young is a 2016 graduate of Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas.
Scout and Rivals ranked Young as the No. 87 and No. 106 overall prospect in the nation, respectively, following his senior year.
Rutgers posted a 16-12 overall mark and went 10-10 in Big 10 Conference play in the 2020-21 campaign.
