Former Brooklyn High School for Law & Tech (BHSLT) guard Kiya Marquez yesterday played in her first college game for Niagara County Community College (0-1).
The 5-foot-7 freshman dropped in eight points, dished out six assists, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded a block in 23 minutes of action in a 97-96 losing effort to Lackawanna College (5-0) at home.
Marquez left BHSLT girls’ hoops program as its all-time leading scorer, reaching the 1000-point mark as a junior, and she was a three-time All-NYS guard as well.
