Jayden Lemond of Blair Academy Picks Up Providence Hoops Offer


Today, Providence Men’s Basketball offered Jayden Lemond, a top-30 sophomore point guard out of Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J, Jake Weingarten Tweeted.

The 6-foot-4 Lemond also plays AAU ball for the PSA Cardinals and holds offers from TCU, Auburn, UConn, St. John’s, and Seton Hall, while Georgia, Stanford, and Michigan have shown interest, per sources.

Lemond, from Englewood, N.J., reclassified into the 2023 class. As a sophomore with Dwight-Englewood High School (NJ), he dropped in 311 points, grabbed 117 rebounds, dished out 79 assists, and made 40 steals in 22 games in the 2019-20 campaign.

The Frias are 10-10 and have gone 6-8 in Big East action this season. Last year, Providence posted a 19-12 record and went 12-6 in Big East play.
