Hoopers NY, Ardsley HS Guard Nicole Sanfilippo Picks Up Syracuse Hoops Offer

Junior Nicole Sanfilippo of AAU Hoopers NY and Ardsley H.S. has put on clinics at recent basketball camps and on the AAU circuit.

Sanfilippo has been outstanding, and for the combo guard’s spectacular performance, Syracuse University Women’s Basketball program has taken notice and offered her, yesterday Hoopers NY Tweeted.

In addition to Syracuse, Sanfilippo now has offers from Moorehead State, the University of Texas-Arlington, and Hawaii, plus interest from colleges in the Big 10, Big East, A10, MAAC, Patriot, and NEC conferences, per Bryan Williams, Hoopers NY program director and 16U Elite coach.

Last season at Ardsley High School, Sanfilippo drained 18 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out three assists per game.

With Hoopers NY, the 5-foot-9 sharpshooter out of Westchester, N.Y., continued her high level of excellence with 16.8 points, 7.1 boards, 5.5 assists, and 3.4 steals per contest in 123 games. Plus, she has made an incredible 94 percent of her foul shots, so fouling Sanfilippo is not a viable option for the opposition.

The Orange is 7-3 overall and 4-3 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) action. Syracuse posted a 16-15 record and went 9-9 on ACC play last year.
