After much speculation, Madison Rayne has made it official and retired from the world of professional wrestling, tonight she announced before Impact Wrestling’s live pay-for-view broadcast of Hard to Kill.
Rayne, real name Ashley Nichole Lomberger, spent 12 amazing years at Impact Wrestling, becoming a five-time Knockouts Champion, two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion as part of the Beautiful People stable, and color commentator along side her real-life husband, Josh Mathews.
Rayne began her pro wrestling career in the early 2000s with stops with Impact/TNA, SHIMMER, and ROH. She even wrestled one match with WWE in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, losing to Mercedes Martinez.
It has been reported that Rayne will take a full position outside the pro wrestling industry, and she said that she will concentrate on being a mom and wife.
Good luck to the legendary Rayne, who leaves behind a legacy of beauty and excellent to the next generation of Knockout wrestlers.
