Ardsley, Hoopers NY’s Nicole Sanfilippo Gets Offer from D 1 Moorehead State Hoops

Ardsley High School (NY) and AAU Hoopers NY junior combo guard Nicole Sanfilippo has received an offer from the Division I Moorehead State University Eagles Women’s Basketball program, yesterday Dan Melious of Hoppers NY Tweeted.

In addition to Moorehead State, Sanfilippo has offers from the University of Texas-Arlington and Hawaii, plus interest from colleges in the Big 10, Big East, A10, MAAC, Patriot, and NEC conferences, per Bryan Williams, Hoopers NY program director and 16U Elite coach.

Last season at Ardsley High School, Sanfilippo dropped in 18 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out three assists per game.

For the Hoopers NY, the 5-foot-9 dynamic baller continued her high level of play with 16.8 points, 7.1 boards, 5.5 assists, and 3.4 steals per contest in 123 games. Plus, she has made an incredible 94 percent of her foul shots, so fouling Sanfilippo is not the answer to thwarting her offensive game.

Moorehead State is 2-8 and 1-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) so far this season. Last year, the Eagles posted a 10-20 record and went 6-12 in conference play.
