Camden High School (NJ) senior forward TaQuan Woodley has committed to South Carolina Men’s Basketball, today VerbalCommits.com Tweeted.
Woodley, after de-committing from the Penn State Nittany Lions due to the departure of former head coach Pat Chambers following allegations of inappropriate conduct, had narrowed his choices down to six colleges. Among the schools, including the Gamecocks, were St. John’s, St. Joe’s, Temple, LaSalle, and Georgia, according to multiple sports media outlets.
Woodley had over 20 colleges vying for hardwood services before originally committing to Penn State.
But the 6-foot-8, 235-pounder from Philadelphia, who also plays for the NY Rens AAU program, chose the South Carolina in the end.
The Gamecocks posted an 18-13 record and went 10-8 in Southeast Conference (SEC) action.
