Word of God Academy’s (NC) Jai Smith counties to stockpile the offers, as yesterday Howard University’s Men’s Basketball program has stepped up and made him one, the former Bishop Ludden (Syracuse, NY) high school hoops star tweeted.
The 6-foot-9, 235-pounder, who also plays for Bull City Prep Academy (NC), a private prep basketball program in North Carolina, owns offers from over 30 men’s college basketball programs. And the list keeps growing.
Presently, Smith has offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Missouri, St. John’s, Marquette, Wake Forest, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Alabama, Memphis, Ole Miss, Xavier, Houston, VCU, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Hofstra, UMass, Oregon State, San Diego State, Saint Louis, and Rutgers.
Howard is one of the top five largest Historically Black Colleges Universities (HBCUs) in the nation. The Bison hoops team posted a 4-29 overall record and went 1-15 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) action last season.
