The offers keep pouring in for Bull City Prep’s (NC) Jai Smith, as the forward has received one from the University of Georgia Bulldogs Men’s Basketball program, he Tweeted yesterday.
The 6-foot-9, 235-pounder also owns offers from Missouri, St. John’s, Marquette, Wake Forest, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Alabama, Memphis, Ole Miss, Xavier, Houston, VCU, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Hofstra, UMass, Oregon State, San Diego State, Saint Louis, and Rutgers, among others, per Verbal Commits.
That is over 25 Division I college hoops offers so far for Smith, who ESPN rates as a four-star recruit and three stars with Rivals, according to 247Sports.com.
Sources have noted that Smith has reclassified into the 2022 class. But he could wind up back with the 2021 graduates. I am guessing that could have some bearing on his recruitment, of course, but we will see.
Smith spent a year at St. Thomas More in Connecticut and attended Bishop Ludden in Syracuse as a freshman.
The Bulldogs recorded a 16-16 overall record and went 5-13 in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play in 2019-20.
