Chisom Okpara–a Bronxville, NY, native who is a star on Vermont Academy’s Boy’s Basketball team–has garnered an offer from Cal-Poly, Andrew Slater Tweeted today.
Additionally, Okpara–who played with the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) NY Renaissance–owns offers from several schools: Penn, Pittsburg, Seton Hall, Columbia, Harvard, Manhattan, Ole Miss, Bryant, Iona, Howard, Brown, Providence, DePaul, Mass, Yale, among others.
That is an impressive list for the 6-foot-8-inch small forward. Okpara is listed as the No. 86 recruit in the country, the No. 28 small forward in the 2020 class, and the No. 1 player in the state of Vermont, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
Cal-Poly posted a 7-23 overall record and went 4-12 in Big West Conference (BWC) action.
