Megan Cahalan of Saint John Vianney had announced on Sunday that she has verbally committed to Division I Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass, to study and play basketball, she Tweeted yesterday.
The junior posted five double-digit scoring games and amassed 189 points and 110 rebounds while proving she can play defense as well, with 31 blocked shots and 32 steals last season as a sophomore with the Lady Lancers.
The power forward/center, who played AAU ball with Jersey Shore Elite and Team Rio, is a hoop-crazed, hard-working player who should fit in well with the Crusaders.
Last season, Holy Cross posted a 19-11 record and went 11-3 in Patriot League Conference play.
