Maura Carney of Jackson Liberty High School has verbally committed to the Division II Adelphi Women’s Basketball program, yesterday she Tweeted.
Carney, who drained 438 points in 28 games last season, good for a Lady Lions-best 15.4 points per game average, went on to thank a slew of people in her Twitter post.
Additionally, the senior grabbed 103 rebounds, dished out 66 assists, and made 63 steals in the 2019-20 campaign.
Rising to the occasion last year, Carney scored a team-high 24 points in No. 8 Jackson Liberty’s 54-41 quarterfinal victory over top-seeded Red Bank Regional High School in the team’s sectional tournament.
Adelphi posted a 27-3 mark and went 17-2 in Northeast 10 (NEC 10) Conference play.
