Mark Armstrong of St. Peter’s Prep and the AAU NY Lightning has garnered an offer from the University of Kansas Jayhawks, today multiple sports outlets tweeted.
In addition to Kansas, the 6-foot-2, 157-pound Armstrong now has offers from Auburn, DePaul, Stanford, and Hofstra, per VebalCommits.com. And interest from St. John’s, Illinois, Rutgers, Seton Hall, VCU, Bryant, Creighton, Farleigh Dickinson, Marist, Rider, among others, according to 247Sports.com.
Armstrong, a gifted junior combo guard, drained an impressive 558 points (19.93 ppg) and grabbed 95 (3.39 rpg) rebounds in 28 games last season with St. Peter’s Prep.
Plus, Armstrong proved to be a strong defender, blocking 22 shots and making 73 steals.
The Jayhawks posted a 28-3 overall record and went 17-1 in Big 12 conference action in 2019-20.
