Former Brooklyn Collegiate’s Caudy Desmornes, who graduated in 2019, took a post-graduate year to study and play basketball at West Nottingham Academy in Colora, MD.
The year paid off for Desmornes, as today he announced on Twitter that he has verbally committed to attend Division II Queens College in Flushing, Queens.
Desmornes helped West Nottingham Academy to an overall 14-11 record last season.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard/forward averaged 2.46 points and 1.85 rebounds per game in 13 contests in his senior year as a Lion. Plus, he saw action in three PSAL postseason AA games during the 2018-19 season.
More importantly, though, Desmornes touted a 3.8 GPA and 1370 SAT score. So the Knights will get a complete student-athlete.
Queens College posted an 8-19 overall mark and went 6-10 in East Coast Conference (ECC) play.
