Brooklyn Collegiate’s Tahron Allen is quickly becoming one of the top high school basketball players in New York City. And several colleges are taken notice of him, with Division I Fairleigh Dickinson today coming in with an his lastest offer, the Lions’ Boy’s basketball program Tweeted on Tuesday.
Allen, a rising senior, holds offers from Division I basketball programs such as Stony Brook, SUNY Binghamton, Kent State, UMASS, Bryant University, and Manhattan College. Plus, he has consideration from Temple, which he visited, among other schools, according to assistant coach Ken Hoyte.
Allen enjoyed an impressive Public School Athletic League (PSAL) season, averaging 17.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game in 14 contests during the regular season. He added 12.7 ppg and 7.75 rpg in four playoff games before the COVID-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of the season.
The FDU Knights posted an 11-19 mark and went 9-9 in Northeast Conference action in the 2019-20 campaign.
