Long Island Softballer Abby Meehan Commits to D 1 Hofstra Pride

Long Island softball has a long history of producing quality players, and rising Mineola High School senior and Team Long Island 18U Elite member Abby Meehan is continuing that trend.

The shortstop yesterday announced on Twitter that she is staying local, as she has verbally committed to play Division 1 softball at Hofstra University, located in Hempstead, New York.

Meehan, a first-rate infielder, registered an impressive .536 average with incredible 1.540 OPS and 25 RBI with the Lady Mustangs last season.
