Yet another Hoopers NY (AAU) girl basketball player has received college basketball recognition, as NCAA Division II Florida Southern College has offered Dakota Daniello, a rising sophomore point guard who plays high school ball for The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, NY, yesterday Hoopers NY Tweeted.
A well above average student, Daniello possesses a solid skillset at the point guard position, with quick movements, and a nice, accurate jump shot, as well a sweet floater to the hoop, according to scouting reports.
While she’s a mere 5-feet, 8o pounds, Daniello’s scrappy abilities overshadow her physical stature. Plus, she’s still very young, so there’s still plenty of time to put on the needed additional size on her frame for the next level.
Daniello also plays hoops for the Empire State Basketball Club in Westchester, NY.
The Moccasins posted a 19-11 mark and went 15-5 in Sunshine State Conference action last season.
