Truman High School’s (Bronx) rising senior Arianna Seawell has received an offer from NCAA Division I Coppin State University, today AAU Hoppers NY said in Tweet.
The 6-foot-2 forward is known her banging-, back-to-the-basket style of play, but has demonstrated a measure of versatility, as her game has matured with both the Lady Mustangs and Hoopers NY.
Although Seawell played in just four games last season (two in the regular season, two in the post-season), she averaged 23 points and 15.25 rebounds per contest.
Seawell helped 9-6 Truman advance to the PSAL Class AA finals against powerhouse South Shore (Brooklyn) before the league cancelled the season due to COVID-19.
The Eagles posted a 3-26 record and went 3-13 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), but has higher former WNBA player Laura Harper to guide the team next year.
