Nicole Melious, a point guard for Hoopers NY, is at it again, with this one coming close to home, as New Jersey’s Fairleigh Dickinson University Women’s Basketball has offered her an athletic scholarship, today her AAU basketball program Tweeted.
Melious–a rising sophomore who plays for Staten Island’s Susan Wagner High School–is enjoying the fruits of her labor, and now has at least 19 offers.
Melious’s college list includes offers from the likes of Vanderbilt University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Rutgers, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, Fordham, University of Denver, Manhattan College, US Naval Academy, University of Loyal Chicago, Syracuse, UNC Asheville, Georgia Tech, Butler, Ohio State, Xavier, Purdue, among others.
The 5-foot-8 rising sophomore has been outstanding so far this summer, especially in Indianapolis, where she poured in 52 points in a game, and was held under 30 only twice in 13 games.
Additionally, Melious averaged an impressive 32.5 points per game, to go along with 7.5 assists and 5.4 rebounds last month in the Pittsburgh Shootout with the NY Hoopers.
Futhermore, she enjoyed a tremendous freshman year with Susan Wagner, averaging a little under 28 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists per game for the 24-3 Lady Falcons.
Plus, Melious drained 39 points in a PSAL Class A playoff win versus Midwood.
