After Reopening Recruitment, Offers Come Pouring in for Wagner, NY Hoopers’ Nicole Melious

Wagner High School and AAU Hoopers NY guard Nicole Melious today has reopened her college recruitment, according to a Tweet from World Exposure.

Nicole Melious

Per the Tweet, Melious’ offer from Purdue still stands. But it didn’t take long for a flurry of Division I offers to follow, including the likes of Rutgers, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, Fordham, Univeristy of Denver, Manhattan College, US Naval Academy, Univeristy of Loyal Chicago, and Syracuse, among others.

And that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who follows the NYC Girls high school basketball scene.

The 5-foot-8 rising sophomore has been outstanding so far this summer, especially in Indianapolis, where she poured in 52 points in a game, and was held under 30 only twice in 13 games.

Additionally, Melious averaged an impressive 32.5 points per game, to go along with 7.5 assists and 5.4 rebounds last month in the Pittsburgh Shootout with the NY Hoopers.

Futhermore, she enjoyed a tremendous freshman year with Susan Wagner, averaging a little under 28 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists per game for the 24-3 Lady Falcons.

Plus, Melious drained 39 points in a PSAL Class A playoff win versus Midwood.
