The Patrick School’s six-ten, 200-pound forward Samson Johnson has received an offer from Division I Virginia Tech, NY Jayhawks AAU basketball programed Tweeted today.
Johnson, a four-star college recruit, holds standing offers from other high D I colleges such as Pittsburg, UCONN, St. John’s, and Syracuse, according to 247sports.com.
The Elizabeth, N.J., native drained 163 points and grabbed 54 rebounds in 17 games as junior in the 2019-20 season.
The Celtics, who have produced the likes of NBA players Kyrie Irving, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Al Harrington, posted an overall 20-7 record last year.
The Patrick School has won five New Jersey Tournament of Championships, most recently in 2017 with a squad paced by Kentucky big man Nick Richards.
