The offers keep coming in for rising sophomore Tyonna Bailey, an ultra-talented small forward at Morris Catholic High School in Denville, NJ, in Morris County.
Just this past week, Oklahoma University Women’s Basketball offered Bailey, while she received her first college proffer from a historically black college university, Howard, in mid-June.
The 5-foot-10 Newark, N.J., native dropped in team-highs in points with 470, steals with 58, and assists with 127, and was second on the squad in rebounds with 284, good enough for NJ high school hoops insiders to consider Bailey among talks for best freshmen in the 2019-20 class.
Additionally, Bailey averaged 18 ppg and 10.9 rpg, making Morris County First Team All-Conference.
An undeniable young, rising, white-hot force, Bailey helped guide the Lady Crusaders to a 17-11 record and a 58-48 defeat to Montclair Immaculate in the NJSIAA sectional tournament, North Jersey, Non-Public B Semifinal Round contest.
Things will no doubt be exciting for Bailey and the Lady Crusaders in the 2020-21 season, as they’ve added a few players to an already talented core.
