After verbally committing to Division I Stony Brook University Men’s Basketball team on May 16th, today Bulter Community College transfer point guard Juwan White signed with the Seawolves, Assistant Head Coach Bryan Webber Tweeted.
“He has tremendous speed and power for a guard,” Head Coach Geno Ford said in a Tweet. “He brings the offensive ability to shoot the three and get to the basket, which will be a huge help for us.”

Ford added on stonybrookathletics.com: “Juwan should come in and compete for playing time immediately. He has tremendous speed and power for a guard. He had a really good career at Butler and we see him being a real asset for our program. He brings the offensive ability to shoot the three and get to the basket, which will be a huge help for us.”
The Dacula, GA, native scored 366 points and dished out 67 assists, good for an average of 10.6 ppg and 1.94 apg in 33 contests with the Grizzlers in the 2019-20 season.
White also added 3.5 rebounds per tilt and shot 44.1 percent from the field and made 40.7 percent of his three-point attempts, given the Seawolves a potential potent deep threat.
