On May 1st, Seton Hall University Women’s Basketball program offered rising sophomore Tyonna Bailey, a Morris Catholic shooting guard, an athletic scholarship.
Bailey picked up her second offer today, this time from the University of Michigan, Morris Catholic Girls’ Basketball Tweeted.
The 5-foot-10 Newark, New Jersey, native dropped in team-highs in points with 470, steals with 58, and assists with 127, and second with 284 rebounds, good enough for NJ high school hoops insiders to consider Bailey among the best freshman in the 2019-20 class.
Additionally, Bailey averaged 18 ppg and 10.9 rpg, making Morris County First Team All-Conference.
A force to be reckoned with, Bailey helped the Lady Crusaders to a 17-11 record and a 58-48 defeat to Montclair Immaculate in the NJSIAA sectional tournament, North Jersey, Non-Public B Semifinal Round tilt.
