After a few months of speculation, Brooklyn basketball standout Sekou Sylla has decided to attend Divison-II Nova Southeastern University (NSU), in Davie, Florida, he told BrooklynSportsWorld.com tonight.
The former College of St. Rose forward said that the Sharks’ winning tradition, along with a wonderful coaching staff and great living environment, were among his reasons for transferring to the school.
“They have a great winning culture, with a great coach in a great location, and you can’t beat that,” said Sylla, who will be entering his junior season at NSU in the fall.
The Canarsie, Brooklyn, native averaged team-highs with 21.9 points and 11.6 rebounds per game in 28 contests with the Golden Knights during the 2019-20 season.
Additionally, Sylla won the Brooklyn Borough and PSAL Championships with Brooklyn’s South Shore High School during the 2017-18 campaign.
Nova Southeastern posted a 23-6 mark and went 15-5 in the Sunshine State Conference.
