Former Rutgers Prep, Mercersburg Academy Hoops Standout Kaylen Oweh Commits to D-II St. Thomas Aquinas


Mercersburg Academy’s (PA) Kaylen Oweh, who graduated from Rutger’s Prep in New
Jersey, yesterday committed to Division-II St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New
York, he announced on Twitter.

Howard University had offered Oweh, according to his Tweet on October 8, 2019. He also held offers from Stony Brook, Canisius College, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). 

The six-foot-three-inch forward spent a post-graduate year with the Blue Storm before committing to the Spartans.

Oweh, who’s known for being a hard-working, gifted baller who attacks the rim, drained 285 points, grabbed 108 rebounds, and dished out 86 assists in 27 contests during the 2018-19 season with Rutgers Prep. 

St.Thomas Aquinas College posted an overall 25-5 record and went 13-3 in Eastcoast Conference (ECC) play during the 2019-20 campaign.
