Neptune High School graduate Dwaine Jones Jr. (’19) has committed to play basketball at Division-I Coppin State University, in Baltimore, Maryland, it was announced on Twitter yesterday.
Many high school basketball insiders, who’ve seen Jones play, are very high on him and his hardwood abilities as he enters the next level.
Jones spent a year at Covenant College Prep in Belmar, New Jersey, before the Eagles landed him for the upcoming college season in the fall.
The six-foot-five-inch guard drained a team-high 273 points for Neptune during the 2018-19 New Jersey high school hoops campaign and he scored over 1000 points in his high school career.
Jones played basketball for the NJ ShoreShot AAU program.
Coppin State posted an 11-20 record and went 7-9 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play this past season.
