Springfield Commonwealth Academy (New England) combo guard Brian Stevens has committed to Division-II Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Stevens, who played for the PSAL’s Lincoln High School in Coney Island last year, was one of the most welcoming surprises on SCA’s roster this season, as the Queens Village, New York, native played well, thus increasing his recruitment, according to newenglandrecruitingreport.com.
The 6–foot-4 Stevens is known to be talented, with solid perimeter size and a nice feel for the hardwood. He’s also a good student and reportedly modest and hard-working, both very good qualities in a student-athlete of his caliber as he continues to work on his game at the next level.
Stevens had good numbers (13.5 ppg) at Lincoln, but a year at SCA seems to have done him a world of good.
