Brooklyn College basketball teams will go dancing in 2020.
The women’s squad will travel to the No. 5 nationally-ranked Bowdoin College to take on the regional host in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament this Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m.

As for the men’s team, the Bulldogs will face top-ranked Swarthmore College (26-1) in the First Round of the NCAA III Men’s Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m.
The women posted an impressive 21-6 regular-season record and will face the Polar Bears, who are coming off of a 70-60 NESCAC Championship win over top-ranked Tufts University on Sunday.
Junior forward Chanel Jemmott, a former high school student-athlete from Leon M. Goldstein in Brooklyn, led the women’s squad with 15.5 points per game and 264 rebounds, helping her capture the CUNYAC Player of the Year award.

The men’s team posted a 13-15 mark during the season but shined during their Cinderella run, surmounting No. 4 Hunter, No. 1 John Jay, and No. 2 Baruch in the CUNYAC Tournament en route to their first conference title and automatic NCAA Tourney bid since 2016.
Junior guard Noah Shy paced the Bulldogs with team-highs in ppg with 12 and boards with 143 while senior guard Michael Tesoriero dished out 112 assists.
