MLB Pipeline came out with its fastest prospect list today, and outfielder Ranfy Adon is the New York Mets’ representative.
Adon, who played a part of the season with the Brooklyn Cyclones (New York-Penn League short-season Single-A affiliate) in 2019, has 45 stolen bases since starting his professional career with the Rookie Level Dominican Summer League Mets in 2015.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Dominican native can motor on both sides of the ball. Adon, 22, uses long, graceful strides that help him cover large areas of grass in the outfield and boogie down the line from the right side of the plate in a flash.
Last year, between two minor league stops, Adon hit .255 with two home runs and 13 RBI with 10 walks in 145 at-bats in 43 games.
